Receipt Assistant (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides an app to capture, organize, and analyze receipts. This policy explains what data is processed and how it is used.

Information We Process

Receipt data you add (for example merchant, amount, date, category, notes, and images).
Account data needed for sign-in and app operation (for example user ID and display name).
Optional linked mailbox data if you connect email import providers.
Optional speech input if you use voice-to-text features.

How We Use Information

Provide receipt capture, organization, search, and spending summaries.
Enable optional family sharing and synchronization.
Provide optional AI receipt parsing and AI spending insights when configured by you.
Improve app reliability and diagnose crashes.

Third-Party Services

The app may use third-party services you choose to enable, such as:

Firebase (authentication, cloud sync, crash reporting)
Google Sign-In / Microsoft sign-in for account or mailbox access
AI providers configured by you for optional AI features

When AI features are used, relevant receipt text or summary data may be sent to your selected provider to return results.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only as needed to provide core app functionality (for example cloud sync, connected providers, and optional AI processing).

Data Retention

Data is retained while you use the app and related services, unless you delete it. You can remove receipts, unlink providers, or stop using optional features at any time.

Your Choices

You can choose whether to use optional AI features.
You can choose whether to connect email providers.
You can revoke permissions (camera, photos, microphone, speech) in iOS Settings.

Children’s Privacy

Receipt Assistant is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
